SCAM ALERT: TracePointGroup.com – Fraudulent Recovery Website Falsely Claiming Association with IFW Global

30 September 2026

IFW Global is issuing an urgent public warning regarding the website tracepointgroup.com, which is presenting itself as an international financial investigation and asset recovery organisation under the name “Trace Point Group.”

IFW Global has no association whatsoever with Trace Point Group or tracepointgroup.com.

IFW Global has never engaged, endorsed, partnered with, authorised or provided services to Trace Point Group.

Following an investigation by IFW Global, we have identified material published on tracepointgroup.com that falsely represents an association between Trace Point Group, IFW Global and the Global Financial Crime Summit 2024.

Fraudulent use of IFW Global conference photographs

Of particular concern is material published by Trace Point Group purporting to show its involvement with IFW Global and the International Association of Cybercrime Prevention at an alleged conference in Manila.

The website claims that:

“Trace Point Group joined IFW Global and the International Association of Cybercrime Prevention”

at an event it claims occurred at the Grand Hyatt Manila on 25 May 2025.

This representation is false.

The photographs being used by Trace Point Group to support this purported association were taken from the legitimate Global Financial Crime Summit 2024, hosted at the InterContinental Sydney, Australia.

Trace Point Group did not participate in that event in the manner represented on its website, and IFW Global has not authorised Trace Point Group to use those photographs to suggest any relationship, partnership, endorsement or association with IFW Global.

IFW Global has also identified apparent digital manipulation of imagery taken from the conference, including an image depicting IFW Global Executive Chairman Ken Gamble, whose appearance appears to have been altered.

Side-by-side comparison of manipulated and original imagery

The use of genuine IFW Global conference imagery in this manner creates a false impression that Trace Point Group has been associated with established financial-crime investigators and international cybercrime organisations.

Apparent fraudulent recovery operation

Trace Point Group presents itself online as an established international asset-recovery organisation offering financial investigation, cryptocurrency tracing and recovery services.

Among other representations, its website claims that the organisation was established in 2019, operates across more than 22 countries, maintains a 95% recovery rate, and has recovered more than USD $240 million.

However, IFW Global’s investigation established that the domain tracepointgroup.com was created only on 18 June 2026.

This significant discrepancy, combined with the fabricated IFW Global association, unauthorised use of genuine conference photographs and representations concerning financial and cryptocurrency recovery services, has caused IFW Global to assess the website as an apparent fraudulent recovery operation.

Recovery scams commonly target people who have already lost money to investment, cryptocurrency or other financial fraud. Scammers may claim that funds have been located or recovered and subsequently demand fees, taxes, deposits, cryptocurrency payments or other payments before the supposed funds can be released.

Warning to investors and fraud victims

Do not send money, cryptocurrency, identification documents, banking information or other personal information to Trace Point Group or through tracepointgroup.com based upon any claimed association with IFW Global.

Anyone contacted by Trace Point Group who is shown photographs, conference material or other information suggesting that the organisation works with or is endorsed by IFW Global should regard those representations as false.

The genuine IFW Global Global Financial Crime Summit 2024 was held at the InterContinental Sydney in November 2024.

Trace Point Group has no authority to represent that its personnel, recovery operations or services are associated with, supported by or endorsed by IFW Global.

Takedown and investigation underway

IFW Global has preserved evidence relating to the website and has commenced reporting the domain and associated infrastructure to relevant service providers and authorities.

Abuse and takedown complaints have been submitted concerning the operation of tracepointgroup.com, including complaints to its domain registrar and infrastructure providers.

IFW Global is also preserving technical and documentary evidence with a view to identifying the individuals responsible for the website and preventing further victims from being targeted.

Anyone who has been contacted by Trace Point Group, has transferred money or cryptocurrency to the organisation, or has been told that Trace Point Group has recovered funds on their behalf is encouraged to cease communications and make no further payments until the legitimacy of those representations has been independently verified.

Important notice

tracepointgroup.com is NOT associated with IFW Global.

Trace Point Group is NOT an authorised representative, partner or affiliate of IFW Global.

The photographs being used to suggest an association with IFW Global and the Global Financial Crime Summit 2024 have been used without IFW Global’s authorisation and do not establish any legitimate relationship between the organisations.

If you have been approached by Trace Point Group and believe you may have been targeted by a recovery scam, please contact IFW Global directly through our official website and provide copies of any emails, WhatsApp or Telegram messages, telephone numbers, cryptocurrency wallet addresses, payment instructions or other communications you have received.
